Multiple People Injured in Tuesday Crash on Allentown Road in Towamencin

Multiple people were hospitalized on Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash on Allentown Road near the Tennis Lukens Cemetery in Towamencin Township.

According to a release from the Towamencin Fire Company, crews were dispatched to the scene just after noon on Nov. 30 for a report of a vehicle crash with injuries and rescue. Officials said the crash was a near-head-on collision between a minivan and a sedan, with the sedan suffering significant damage.

Crews worked to rescue one of the drivers, and occupants of both vehicles were transported from the scene via ambulance for treatment of unknown injuries. The scene remained active for more than one hour, officials said.

Towamencin Fire Company was assisted at the scene by members of Hatfield Fire Company, Harleysville Fire Company, Fairmount Fire Company, Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale and area police departments.
