Video: Upper Gwynedd Police Rescue Blind and Deaf Dog from Underground Cistern

Upper Gwynedd Police are no strangers to animal rescues, having saved a family of ducklings earlier this year and a deer that was caught in fencing two summers ago. There was also an incident where they captured an errant emu on Morris Road, which went on to quickly destroy the back seat of their vehicle.

On Monday afternoon, police again put their rescue skills to the test, as a blind, deaf and elderly dog named Penny fell into an underground cistern on Green Street that had become exposed due to recent heavy rains. Fortunately for Penny, Officers Toro and Gill, joined by Sgt. Gillen, worked together to free her from her confines and safely reunite her with her family.
