The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County is excited to be supporting the economic development of Lansdale with the relocation of their office in the heart of the borough at Madison Lansdale Station.
Founded in 1913 as the Lansdale Board of Trade, this a coming home for the 108-year-old business association. As a way of reintroducing the organization, the Chamber is inviting the community to join them for a celebration on Aug. 26 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public, with cake, Rita’s Italian Ice, balloons, live music, local business exhibitors, and a cornhole tournament. Stella the Owl from Elmwood Park Zoo and Monty, the Montgomery County Mascot, presented by the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board, will be in attendance. The Chamber will also be giving away commemorative tote bags to attendees. Registration is not required to attend.
The cornhole tournament will feature eight teams of two played in an elimination format. There is no charge to participate. Prizes will be for the first place and second place teams. Neighbors, families and business colleagues are all encouraged to participate.
“The Chamber is thrilled to be a part of the vibrant Lansdale community,” said Pam Kelly, President of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County. “The hope of this celebration is to connect with our neighbors and become a new friend to the local community, providing an office and training center that is convenient and welcoming for members.”
The Community Celebration is in partnership with Well Crafted Beer Company and Discover Lansdale. Well Crafted Beer Company will be providing their beer garden with food and beverages to purchase, as well as live music. Additional event sponsors include Penn Community Bank and Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board.
More information is available on www.chambergmc.org, including registration for the cornhole tournament. To stay up-to-date follow @chambergmc on Facebook and Instagram.
