A Lower Frederick man is facing charges after he allegedly filmed women he was having sex with without consent and was later found to be in possession of more than 100 videos and images containing child pornography.
David Allshouse, 28, of Lower Frederick, has been charged with five counts of invasion of privacy and 83 counts of possession of child pornography in connection with an investigation by the Montgomery County Detective Bureau.
Investigators said they received a pair of tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in April 2021, regarding what appeared to be child pornography uploaded to two Dropbox accounts associated with Allshouse. The accounts were traced to Allshouse and a search warrant was served on his residence on June 22, at which point investigators secured numerous electronic devices including a laptop, iPhone and a small, concealable camera, according to the criminal complaint.
A forensic examination of the devices revealed more than 100 videos and images depicting child pornography, with at least 10 of the files depicting children under the age of 13 years old being sexually assaulted, investigators said. Additionally, five video files that depicted Allshouse having sex with adult women were also recovered, the complaint states. Investigators said the women did not know they were being recorded, nor did they consent to being recorded.
Allshouse was arraigned by District Judge Christopher Cerski on Aug. 5, who set bail at $75,000 cash along with the conditions that he have no contact with the victims and he wear an electronic monitoring device. The following day, however, Common Pleas Judge Garrett Page reduced the bail to $1,000 cash with no other conditions as part of the county’s new Pre-Trial Services Program.
A preliminary hearing for Allshouse has been scheduled for Aug. 17 at 1:30 p.m. in front of District Judge Maurice Saylor. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Gabriella Soreth, of the Family Protection Unit.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.
