The Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company will host their first-annual Autism Awareness event on Saturday, featuring food trucks, games, music, prizes and more.
The event is scheduled for May 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the firehouse located at 75 North Market Street in Hatfield Borough. Organizers said that with the prevalence of autism being at an all time high, it is their goal to raise awareness and increase acceptance and understanding for those who have been diagnosed with autism.
Organizers are also looking for event sponsorships and vendors, as well as anyone who can offer a gift for the raffles at the event. Interested parties are asked to contact Jamiel Ownes at 267-709-1254 or via email at [email protected]
North Penn Now photographer Bob Kelly will be on scene for a portion of the event, so if you plan on attending, be sure to stop him, say hello and have your picture taken!
