North Wales Man Who Exposed Himself to Group of 11-Year-Old Children Sentenced to Probation

Christian Aristizabal, 23, of the 400 block of Washington Avenue in North Wales Borough.

For the second time in three years, a North Wales man has been sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to exposing himself in public.

Christian Aristizabal, 23, of the 400 block of Washington Avenue, was sentenced to four years of probation on Friday after pleading guilty to one count of indecent exposure. The charge stems from an incident that occurred in Springfield Township in December 2019, in which Aristizabal exposed himself to four 11-year-old children while walking along the 900 block of Willow Grove Avenue.

Court records indicate the additional charges of unlawful contact with a minor, open lewdness and disorderly conduct were dismissed following Aristizabal’s guilty plea.

As a condition of his probation, Aristizabal must undergo a psycho-sexual evaluation, and he has been banned from entering Springfield Township. Additionally, Aristizabal has been ordered to have no contact with the victims or minors.

For Aristizabal, this is the second time in three years that he has been sentenced to probation for exposing himself in public.

In October 2018, Aristizabal pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent exposure stemming from an incident that occurred at the CVS pharmacy in Upper Gwynedd Township on May 9, 2018. Police said that Aristizabal exposed himself to two female employees at the pharmacy, and on the following day, he returned to the pharmacy and exposed himself to police.

Court records indicate that Aristizabal was sentenced to two years of probation and was permanently banned from returning to the pharmacy. However, Aristizabal was later sentenced to six-to-12 months in county jail on July 29, 2020, for violating the terms of his probation.

Aristizabal would go on to serve 226 days in county jail, before his release on March 12, 2021, court records indicate.
