Police Issue Notice Regarding Incident Involving A Suspicious White Van

Ambler Police issued an alert on Friday morning regarding a suspicious incident involving a man with a white van that occurred on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the report, police said that a suspicious white Dodge Van was observed along the 400 block of Edgewood Drive at approximately 1 p.m. on April 6. The van reportedly backed into the driveway of a home that had children playing outside, causing the children to immediately run inside of the home, police said.

The driver of the van — described as a white male between the ages of 18 and 25, with black hair and hat — reportedly exited the vehicle and forcefully knocked on the door of the home, police said. The children did not answer the door, according to the report.

The driver and the van then left the scene, traveling towards Bethlehem Pike, police said. The homeowner told police that they were not expecting any deliveries, and no package was delivered, according to the report.

Ambler Police are asking anyone who may have had contact with the vehicle or the driver to contact them at 215-643-6444. Tips can also be sent electronically by clicking here.
