Police on Scene of Shooting in Upper Gwynedd Township, 1 Injured

One person has been injured following a shooting that occurred in Upper Gwynedd Township earlier this morning.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, police and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to a home along the 600 block of Rosemont Avenue, near the intersection with Whites Road, at 8:03 a.m. Upper Gwynedd Police Chief David Duffy told North Penn Now that one victim was shot and has since been transported from the scene for treatment of their injuries.

Duffy said the weapon has been recovered, and the other involved party is cooperating with police. There is no threat to the public, Duffy said.

Investigators remain on scene at this time. Duffy said Upper Gwynedd Police plan to release a statement later this morning.
