Lower Salford Township has announced that a portion of Quarry Road will be closed beginning Thursday morning as the township works to make repairs on a bridge.
The closure will occur between Morris and Upper Mainland roads starting on Oct. 1, and repairs are expected to take between six-to-eight-weeks to complete. The release states that the all-day closure was required due to safety concerns for workers as well as the nature of the required repairs.
Detours will be posted, and are expected to utilize both Morris and Upper Mainland roads.
