Though the annual Upper Gwynedd Carnival was cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic, the Upper Gwynedd Township Parks and Recreation Department made lemons out of lemonade on Saturday afternoon and evening by hosting a trio of events for township residents and surrounding neighbors.
The day began at noon with a four-hour-long car show that included more than 100 vehicles from the past 90 years. Following the show was a musical performance at 7 p.m. by The Exceptions, an 11-piece cover band that plays hit songs from a variety of eras.
Afterwards, township residents were treated to a fireworks display, though many were encouraged to view the show from their homes.
