North Wales Police have identified the suspect involved with the theft of several “Back the Blue” lawn signs last week, which were later vandalized and placed outside of the police station and Borough Hall.
According the North Wales Police Chief Mike Eves, the suspect has been identified as a 14-year-old juvenile from the borough. Eves said a neighbor’s surveillance video captured the teen in the act of the theft, and the matter is being resolved informally between two local families.
Last week’s incident was the second time in two months that vandals had targeted the North Wales Borough Police Station.
In late June, a male suspect was captured on surveillance footage spray-painting “BLM” on the wall outside of the police station. The suspect, who was also captured on surveillance footage, was described as a white male, 5’10, weighing 170 pounds, wearing a light-colored, backwards baseball hat with a dark-colored North Face-type coat, skinny jeans with the cuffs rolled up and boots.
Anyone with information about that incident or suspect is asked to contact Officer Luke Miller by phone at 215-699-9270 or via email at [email protected].
