Missing Gwynedd Mercy Academy HS Coach, 19, Found Dead

Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School field hockey coach Zoë Rogers, 19, who was reported missing to police on Tuesday has been found dead, according to a Twitter post from the school.
 
Rogers was last seen Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. driving her 2019 silver Honda CRV, as she followed the field hockey bus from a game at Villa Joseph Marie High School in Southampton to the Lower Gwynedd Township school, according to a missing person post on social media.
 
Her death was described as "sudden and tragic” by the school. No details have been released on the cause of her death or the whereabouts of where she was found.
 
"It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we share the sudden and tragic loss of recent Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School alumna and field hockey coach Zoë Rogers. We ask that you pray for Zoë and her family as she is placed into the loving hands of Jesus,” wrote the school on Twitter.
 
Rogers graduated from the school in 2019. She attended UC Berkeley campus, and upon the campus closing due to COVID-19, Rogers returned to her alma mater to train and play with her club team.
 
Lower Gwynedd Township Police were not available for comment Friday.
