Pennsylvania-based Pet Valu has announced they will close all 358 of their locations across the country, including their stores in Hatfield and Lower Gwynedd townships.
According to a report by Melissa Repko at CNBC, Pet Valu’s recently appointed chief restructuring officer Jamie Gould said the retailer has been “significantly impacted” by ongoing COVID-19-related restrictions.
“After a thorough review of all available alternatives, we made the difficult but necessary decision to commence this orderly wind down,” said Gould, in the CNBC report.
The report states that stores will remain open until the wind-down is complete, and closing sales are expected to begin in the coming days. However, customers can no longer place orders on the company’s website, the report states.
