Four-Vehicle Crash on Doylestown Pike Sends Three to Hospital on Wednesday Night

A four-vehicle crash on Doylestown Pike in Montgomery Township lead to three people being hospitalized on Wednesday night.

Police, fire and EMS units were dispatched to the intersection of Doylestown Pike and County Line Road at 8:53 p.m. on May 28 for a report of a vehicle accident with injuries and entrapment. Upon arrival, EMS and fire personnel were able to remove the trapped individual from the wreckage of one of the vehicles.

Officials said the cause of the crash is unknown at this time, but three unidentified individuals were injured as a result of the crash. One victim was transported via ambulance to Lansdale Hospital with unknown injuries, a second individual was transported via ambulance to Lansdale Hospital with moderate, non-life threating injuries, and a third victim was transported via ambulance to Abington Main Campus with serious injuries, police said.

Two of the vehicles — a Ford Explorer and a Chevy Silverado — were towed from the scene.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Montgomery Township Police Department’s Highway Safety Unit. Anyone who has information regarding the crash is asked to call 215-362-2301.

In addition to the Montgomery Township Police Department, units from the Fire Department of Montgomery Township, Colmar Fire Company, and Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale assisted at the scene.
