Members of Retro Fitness, located at 1200 Welsh Road in Montgomery Township, were informed on Friday that the location had permanently closed, effective immediately.
The email sent to members states that memberships can be transferred to another location at no cost within the next 30 days. Otherwise, membership and billing will be automatically cancelled with no additional fees charged.
“We wish you continued luck in your fitness journey,” reads part of the email.
North Penn Now has reached out to Retro Fitness for comment regarding the reasoning behind the closure, but we have not received a response at this time. Should we receive a statement, we will add it to this article.
On March 12, Governor Tom Wolf ordered the closure of all schools, gyms, fitness centers and nonessential businesses, as part of the state’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.
