Beginning Monday, May 11, 2020, the North Penn School District (NPSD) will be providing seven days’ worth of free breakfast and lunch meals through its free grab-and-go meals program.
Providing nutritious meals to families during the COVID-19 school closure is of utmost importance to NPSD. To this end, NPSD invites families and caregivers to drive through* and pick up free breakfast and lunch meals for their children.
Pick up locations will be located at the student drop off lane of the following schools on Mondays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.:
Grab-and-go lunches and breakfasts will be provided to any children 18 years old and younger. Families will be able to pick up three days’ worth of meals on Monday and four days' worth of meals on Thursday per child. This means that on Mondays, each child will receive three breakfast meals and three lunch meals. On Thursdays, each child will receive four breakfast meals and four lunch meals. This distribution schedule now provides a total of seven days’ worth of free meals.
Children are no longer required to be in the car to receive a meal. Families are asked to stay in the car during distribution. Meals will be passed through windows. Meals must be eaten off-site. No identification or student information is required.
The menu, which includes dairy products, sandwiches, cereal, snacks, fruit and milk, can be found here and is subject to change week to week. Lunch and breakfast will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
