A detached garage suffered smoke and fire damage during a fire along the 300 block of Perkiomen Avenue in Lansdale Borough on Thursday morning.
Crews from multiple area fire companies were dispatched to the scene at 9:13 a.m., according to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames from within the garage, though they were able to contain the blaze to the garage and place the fire under control in under 30 minutes.
No injuries were reported at the scene, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
According to Fairmount Fire Company Deputy Chief Gavin Butler, the homeowners are not displaced and the home itself was unaffected.
Fairmount Fire Company was assisted at the scene by units from Hatfield Fire Company, Towamencin Fire Company, Worcester Fire Company, Lansdale Borough Police and the Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale.
Butler said the scene was cleared by 11 a.m.
