Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, the entertainment and event planning world has been spinning on its head trying to figure out how to work sustainably. As an event planner, I never could have imagined a pandemic that would bring a thriving, local culture to its knees.
Amidst the change of scenery and social distance practicing, I often think about how Lansdale is incredibly strong and resilient. At Round Guys, we are currently living the phrase “I shall either find a way or make one.” This phrase is attributed to Hannibal, a general from the early Carthaginian Empire. We are actively working to develop and make new and innovative virtual programming based around activities that the community loves.
This past week, we focused our efforts to ensure our virtual Round Guys family has access to streaming yoga sessions, hosted by Sheridan Earle, once per week on Monday evenings. These sessions are broadcast as a watch party on The Underground by Round Guys Brewing Company Facebook page. Be sure to also join the Underground Yoga Open Mat Night Facebook Group to keep in touch with new friends and instructors.
We’ve also started Virtual Taco Tuesday instruction and coloring nights! Round Guys own Phil Deaver will be broadcasting live on the Round Guys Brewing Company Facebook Page each Tuesday at 7 p.m. cooking a featured taco live. Our next broadcast will be on May 5, Cinco de Mayo, featuring the El Grande Taco with grilled chicken, garlic aioli and black bean corn salsa. During the Cinco de Mayo broadcast, we will also be kicking off our “Color Like a Tytan” coloring contest featuring our friends and inspiration for “Bumblebee Wheat Ale,” the award winning “comic book rock” band, Stereotytans!
