As state and county officials continue to request protective equipment donations to aid healthcare workers in their fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, one local orthodontist has decided to heed the call.

On Monday afternoon, members of the temporarily-closed, Lansdale-based BZ Orthodontics delivered 4,000 gloves and 300 protective masks to the Lower Salford Police Department, for distribution to local hospitals and healthcare workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’re all in this together,” said Dr. Brian Zebrick, of BZ Orthodontics. “It’s our social responsibility to do what we can.”

In addition to their donation, Zebrick and BZ Orthodontics is calling for other local businesses, including dental and veterinary offices, salons and cleaning companies, to follow suit and donate whatever equipment they can. For anyone interested in donating supplies, you can contact BZ Orthodontics by phone, email or via their Facebook page to arrange for drop off.
