First Responders on Scene of Overturned Vehicle on York Avenue in Lansdale

UPDATE: March 13, 3:06 p.m. - The female that was trapped in the overturned vehicle has been freed, according to sources. North Penn Now photographer Bob Kelly is currently on scene.

Police, fire and emergency medical personnel are currently at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on York Avenue in Lansdale Borough.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at 2:49 p.m. near the intersection with Towamencin Avenue. Dispatch notes and witnesses at the scene state that a female driver is trapped inside of the overturned vehicle, and is hanging by her seatbelt.

There is currently no word on injuries, though emergency medical personnel are currently on scene. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

Lansdale Borough Police are being assisted at the scene by units from the Fairmount Fire Company, Colmar Fire Company and Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale.
