Manna on Main Street’s Annual Race to End Hunger Scheduled for Next Month

Manna on Main Street is holding their Ninth Annual Race to End Hunger on Saturday, April 4. The professionally chip timed 5K and five-mile races, as well as the Fun Run, start and end at Knapp Elementary School. All proceeds from the event benefit Manna on Main Street—a soup kitchen, food pantry and social services non-profit organization serving the North Penn region.

Last year, more than 350 individuals participated on Race Day and the event raised over $50,000 in sponsorship and peer fundraising.

“This event is our biggest fundraiser of the year and helps support our core programs and services,” said Suzan Neiger Gould, Manna’s Executive Director. “Each year, our community comes together for a day filled with excitement, laughter, and sometimes, cold weather, to support Manna and our mission of ending hunger in the North Penn region. We hope you will join us on April 4 for this wonderful event!”

People of all ages and running abilities, as well as dogs on leashes and strollers, are welcome to participate in this family-friendly event. Registration for all three events is open until Saturday, March 28 and will be available on April 4 from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Details on how to register and registration fees can be found at www.mannaonmain.org/RTEH.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available for the Race to End Hunger. Levels range from $250 to $10,000 with exciting benefits and recognition options. Past race sponsors include Brittany Pointe Residents Association, JBS, PDC Machines and Rental World.

For more information about race sponsorship, please contact Vince Caperelli, Manna’s Development Director, by March 13.
