A Lansdale woman who vandalized a vehicle belonging to a relative of her ex-boyfriend is headed to the accelerated rehabilitative disposition (ARD) program.
According to court records, 26-year-old Bria Lenart was granted access to the diversionary program for first-time offenders on Feb. 11. Records indicate Lenart will participate in the program for 12 months, and she has to serve 10 hours of community service.
Once the program is complete, charges against Lenart will be dismissed and her record will be automatically expunged.
Lenart was originally charged with felony criminal mischief, stemming from an incident that occurred in Doylestown in June 2019. Additional charges of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and summary counts of harassment, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct were also filed against her, in connection with the incident.
According to the release from the Central Bucks Regional Police Department, police responded to a disturbance along East Oakland Avenue in Doylestown Borough on June 28, 2019 at 3:28 a.m. Police determined that a woman—identified Lenart—had allegedly initiated a disturbance involving her ex-boyfriend, and police subsequently took her information and cited her for disorderly conduct.
The report states that immediately after she was cited, Lenart proceeded to a vehicle owned by a relative of her ex-boyfriend and allegedly keyed the vehicle on all sides, causing significant damage. Lenart was then taken into custody.
The felony criminal mischief charge was later downgraded to a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief, according to court records. Should Lenart fail to complete the ARD program, all charges will be reinstated and a trial date will be set.
