Lansdale Borough Police are investigating a vehicle crash that occurred along the 300 block of West Main Street on Sunday afternoon.
First responders were dispatched to the scene at 2:22 p.m. on June 21 for a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a building. Witnesses at the scene stated that a gray SUV struck three vehicles and then crashed into the front of a custom curtain and draperies store.
Police said the information they could provide was limited as the crash remains under investigation, but noted that one person had to be extricated from their vehicle, and one was transported to Lansdale Hospital with unknown injuries.
West Main Street was closed for roughly one hour from Green Street to Wood Street, as crews worked to clear the scene. Three of the four vehicles had to be towed from the scene, police said.
Though police could not provide an estimate of the damage sustained to the building, the storefront had been boarded up a short time after the crash.
Details regarding the cause of the crash, the identity of the driver and any potential charges being filed are pending the completion of the investigation and the report being filed, police said.
In addition to the Lansdale Borough Police Department, units from the Fairmount Fire Company, Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale and Lansdale Borough Code Enforcement assisted at the scene, which was cleared by 3:30 p.m.
