North Wales Theft-From-Vehicle Suspect Turns Herself In

Alexandra Sharf, 37, of Philadelphia.

The North Wales Borough Police Department has announced the arrest of 37-year-old Alexandra Sharf, of Philadelphia, in connection with the theft of more than $1,000 worth of power tools from a parked vehicle in November 2019.

According to North Wales Police Chief Michael Eves, Sharf turned herself in on Jan. 20, roughly one month after police put out a request for public assistance in locating two suspects accused from stealing from a vehicle. The second suspect, 28-year-old Brandon Reggio, remains a fugitive at this time, though Eves told North Penn Now that he has spoken to Reggio by phone, and they are working to arrange for him to turn himself in once he’s out of a drug rehab center in Philadelphia.

Reggio and Sharf are accused of stealing several Milwaukee power tools from a work truck that was parked along the 100 block of South Main Street on Nov. 14, 2019, then pawning the tools for cash in Levittown, police said. The total value of the tools was $1,079.44, according to the criminal complaint.

Surveillance footage allegedly showed Reggio driving Sharf’s vehicle to the scene, exiting the vehicle and approaching the truck, then returning to the vehicle with a tool bag, police said. Later that morning, the two were captured on surveillance footage pawning the items at a Levittown pawn shop, according to the criminal complaint.

Sharf was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Andrea Duffy on felony charges of receiving proceeds from an illegal act and conspiracy to receive proceeds from an illegal act, as well as a misdemeanor charge of receiving stolen property. Judge Duffy set bail at $10,000 unsecured, and Sharf was then released from custody.

Her next court appearance is a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Suzan Leonard on April 27 at 11 a.m.
