First responders are currently on the scene of an overturned vehicle on Knapp Road between Norway Drive and North Wales Road in Montgomery Township.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred at 7:56 a.m. Sources tell North Penn Now that a vehicle struck a utility pole and overturned, and a female is currently trapped inside of the vehicle.
Dispatch notes indicate that there is smoke coming from the vehicle, and that a live wire is down on the road. Knapp Road is currently being shut down, and PECO has been notified. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time, and there is currently no word on any injuries.
Montgomery Township Police are being assisted at the scene by units from the Fire Department of Montgomery Township, Fairmount Fire Company and Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale.
