UPDATE: Jan. 13, 6:59 p.m. - According to a report by WFMZ-TV, the woman involved in the crash has died.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred just before 3:21 p.m. Sources tell North Penn Now that one female victim was trapped inside of her vehicle, and she has suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash.
Dispatch notes indicate that a medevac was initially placed on standby for the victim, but it was called off and the victim was transported via ambulance by the Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale.
There is currently no information available regarding any other injuries, and the cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
Units from the Warrington Township Police Department are being assisted at the scene by the Fire Department of Montgomery Township, Montgomery Township Police Department and Lansdale VMSC. Dispatch notes indicate that the vehicles involved are blocking the road, and motorists should avoid the area.
