Report: Lansdale Catholic Grad Named Head Coach of New York Giants

A member of Lansdale Catholic High School’s Class of 2000 has been named head coach of the New York Giants, according to multiple online reports.

38-year-old Joe Judge, who, until today, had been working as the special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach for the New England Patriots, is finalizing the details of the contract, according to a report by Cody Benjamin at CBS Sports.

Judge played quarterback for the Crusaders before attending college at Mississippi State. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant with his alma mater in 2005, and made the leap to the NFL as a special teams assistant with the New England Patriots in 2012. Judge was promoted to special teams coordinator in 2015, and added the role of wide receivers coach in 2019.

Judge will replace former Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur as head coach. To read more about the hire, click here.
