Hilltown Township Police are investigating the theft of a vehicle that had broken down on the shoulder of Bethlehem Pike earlier this week.
Police said they responded to the area of the 3100 block of Bethlehem Pike on Feb. 10 for a report of a stolen vehicle. The owner of the vehicle told police that his vehicle had broken down around noon, and it was left on the shoulder of the roadway. When the owner returned around 2:15 p.m., the vehicle was gone, according to the release.
The vehicle is described as a dark blue 2019 Volkswagen Passat Wolfsburg Edition. The owner believes that due to the vehicle being disabled, it would have needed to be towed from the scene.
Hilltown Township Police are requesting public assistance with the investigation. Anyone who may have seen the vehicle on the shoulder, anyone around it, or the vehicle being towed is asked to contact Officer James. T. Browne at [email protected].
