The former general manager of Five Points Automotive is facing a felony theft charge, after he allegedly sold a set of Mercedes rims that were on consignment and then failed to forward the money to the business.
Police were dispatched to Five Points Automotive on Dec. 9, 2019, at 10:25 a.m. for a report of a theft by a former employee. Upon arrival, police were informed that the former general manager—identified as 27-year-old Kyle Garrison, of Doylestown—had been instructed to sell a set of four aluminum Mercedes three-piece wheels and Yokohama Advan tires, which belonged to the business owner’s son and had been placed on consignment, the report states.
Garrison listed the rims and tires for sale on Facebook Marketplace, and during the evening of Aug. 29, 2019, he met with an unknown person who purchased the wheels but Garrison never forwarded the proceeds of the transaction to the business, according to the complaint.
The value of the rims and tires was $4,000, police said.
As a result of the investigation, Garrison has been charged with one felony count of theft by failing to make required disbursement of funds. Court records indicate that Garrison has not been arraigned on the charge at this time, so no booking image is available.
Garrison has a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 30 at 10:30 a.m. in front of Magisterial District Judge Andrea Duffy.
