Knights for Life Fundraiser Draws Crowd in Support of Local Father Battling End-Stage Kidney Failure

Josh and Missy Bafia, with their four children.

More than 120 people attended the Knight for a Cause Fundraiser at Pinecrest Country Club on Friday night, with proceeds benefitting the family of Josh Bafia, who is currently battling end-stage renal failure.

Though officials numbers were not released, organizers told North Penn Now that the fundraiser was very successful, and that the Knights for Life will be able to make a nice donation to the Bafia family. Organizers said the evening featured raffle prizes, a photo booth, special guests including the Philly Phanatic, food, beer, wine and music performed by Mike Greer.

The signature fundraising event occurs once each year, with benefits going to a person or family dealing with near-insurmountable circumstances and/or illness. This year, the organization chose the family of 38-year-old Josh Bafia—a type-one diabetic who has been battling end stage kidney failure for years while awaiting a kidney transplant.
