Lansdale Borough Issues Statement Following Announcement of New COVID-19 Restrictions

(The following is a release from Lansdale Borough.)

On Thursday, Dec. 10, Governor Wolf introduced additional temporary restrictions in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.

While these restrictions may not directly impact us personally, many will impose additional challenges to our business community — one already suffering from several months of uncertainty. While it is easy to feel powerless with these directives, we can still help our local businesses through these challenges.

Although customers may not be able to shop in the way we are used to, goods and services offered by our small businesses are still needed. By continuing to order takeout meals when possible, purchasing gift cards from local establishments, using curb side pickup where available and even ordering online we can help Lansdale businesses that may be struggling.

And as we assist our business community to stay afloat, it is important that we do not underestimate how much we can help everyone in our community by following public health guidelines. By just staying at home if you can, you’re making a vital difference. Wearing a mask and remaining socially distant if you do go out goes a long way in helping keep you and your family safe.

Making efforts to stay healthy and avoiding high-risk activities reinforces Lansdale’s community ties and reminds us that we are all in this together.
