Bustard’s Christmas Trees Helping To Make Christmas Bright for Armed Forces Families

Bustard’s Christmas Trees in Towamencin Township is making the holidays a lot brighter for 200 armed forces families.

According to 6abc.com, the 91-year-old business – which supplied the official 2015 White House Christmas tree – loaded up a FedEx truck this past weekend with trees to be given to members of the armed forces and their families through the annual Trees for Troops campaign.

"We've been through ups and downs and recessions and all, and now a pandemic, but that's an important thing, the feeling of community," said Bustard’s Christmas Trees owner Jay Bustard in the article. "And I think that's what a lot of small businesses offer."

The program is in its 15th year and, even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was able to continue the program.
