While the pandemic has dimmed many holiday prospects in 2020, Lansdale's Ninth Annual Christmas Tree Display is once again making spirits bright, right through the end of the month.
The always-anticipated annual community event, sponsored by Discover Lansdale, has been adapted for current conditions— to help keep visitors safe and healthy — and is being hosted by borough businesses all along Main and Broad Streets and elsewhere through Dec. 31.
This year's theme is "Walking in a Window Wonderland." While in past years the popular Christmas Tree Display has been hosted in a single indoor location, the new format is a store-to-store strolling experience, all along the borough's sidewalks and main thoroughfares. It's always open, and socially distanced.
Nearly two dozen trees are adorned and on display in the windows of Lansdale shops. As in years past, businesses and nonprofit community causes combine forces to decorate and sponsor the themed trees.
Visitors and shoppers can follow the path, enjoy the bright seasonal storefronts, and vote for their favorite entries. Just download and print out the handy guide posted on
Discover Lansdale’s Facebook page and at
discoverlansdale.org, and return it to
Henning's Trains, 128 South Line St., by Dec. 22.
All who vote will be automatically entered in a drawing for a genuine Lionel train set just in time for placement under your own Christmas tree.
The full list of displays is
posted on Discover Lansdale’s website. Enjoy a festive stroll down Lansdale's streets, visit the displays, vote for your favorites, and patronize Lansdale for all your holiday shopping and dining.
