Expressive Path will present its “Virtual Art in the Park”
on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will be streamed live
from the historic Centre Theater in Norristown and can be viewed on Expressive
Path’s Facebook and Instagram Live. The afternoon will feature live music from
Former Strangers-Rock, Lets Link L8R Band-Rap, AM Radio Trio-60’s music, Louis
Pettinelli Trio-Jazz & Big Band, Division of Power-Blues as well as student
Creole Storm-Rap. We are thankful to our many sponsors, including grant funding
provided by the PNC Foundation through PNC Arts Alive Connect for helping us to
continue our event during such as challenging time.
With “Art in the Park,” there will be something for everyone. Watch a fashion show by Twelve23 Boutique, learn to dance the Dominican Bachata with Sasha, experience the Mastani by Mamata, and enjoy excerpts from Tarzan by Theater Non-Conforming. “Art in the Park” is always interactive! Throughout the day, we will present auctions, prizes, live art, and trivia.

This is what we do daily with our students— inspire, connect, motivate, and educate. We are excited to receive support through PNC Arts Alive Connect for the first time! Together we can make a difference for the teens in our community,” said Pamela Martin, Executive Director and Founder of Expressive Path.

All funds raised from Art in the Park benefit Expressive Path. Expressive Path is a 90% mobile non-profit organization that provides free creative art and music workshops for teens that would not have otherwise had the chance. They give their students the opportunity to showcase their talents through exhibition, performance, and community service. Now in its 12th program year, PNC Arts Alive
challenges visual and performing arts organizations to put forth their best,
most original thinking in expanding audience participation and engagement. In
2020, more than 40 arts organizations from across the Greater Philadelphia,
Southern New Jersey, and Delaware region were selected to receive PNC Arts
Alive program support–including several first-time grantees—through a newly expanded
initiative to support smaller, community-based arts and cultural organizations.
