Nearly 60 people attended an outdoor meet and greet event for Republican candidate Kathy Barnette on Wednesday night, as her campaign gears up to square off against incumbent Democrat Congresswoman Madeline Dean in the upcoming November election.
The outdoor event was hosted by Anita and John Fleming, along the 200 block of Oakland Place in Upper Gwynedd Township. Also in attendance was former Republican state Rep. Kate Harper, current Republican state Rep. Thomas Murt and a handful of military personnel and veterans.
Barnette, who has shown a penchant for landing in regional and national media outlets, spent 10 years serving in the United States Army Reserves. She has since gone on to work in corporate finance, and she has also established a career as a conservative political commentator.
