A North Wales man was arrested on allegations he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s Bucks County residence.
Police from Middletown Township were dispatched to a home on Princeton Court in the Langhorne section around 1:57 p.m. on Saturday, July 18 for a reported in-progress home invasion.
The resident reported that her ex-boyfriend – Nicholas Delmoore, 33, of North Wales – broke into her home while knowing he was not welcome, according to court papers.
The woman explained that Delmoore was knocking at her front door repeatedly, despite the fact that she didn’t answer. The woman then locked all the doors and went to lay in her bed. Shortly after, she heard a bang and heard someone in the house, according to police.
Delmoore, according to his ex-girlfriend’s account to police, reported that he came into her bedroom and told her she was going to have to call law enforcement.
The woman reported leaving the house as Delmoore stayed in the residence, police said, adding the woman was visibly upset when they arrived. Officers located Delmoore in a second-floor bedroom of the house, police said.
Officers said they found the rear sliding glass door broken open and the door handle pulled off from the outside. A pair of pliers were said to be found at the base of the door.
As a result of the incident, Delmoore was charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, possession of an instrument of crime with intent, disorderly conduct, harassment, and criminal mischief. He was arraigned by District Judge John Kelly and jailed on 10 percent of $30,000.
(All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.)
