Police Report ‘Significant Amount’ of Thefts from Vehicles Tuesday Night in Hilltown Township

Hilltown Township Police are again reminding residents to keep their vehicles locked after a rash of thefts from vehicles were reported during the overnight hours between Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

“Numerous other municipalities in Bucks County have been plagued with thefts from vehicles in the past few months,” police said, in a statement on their Crimewatch site. “Now, Hilltown Township has been added to the list.”

The reminder comes roughly 10 days after police issued an alert regarding several residents that reported items were taken from their vehicles during the overnight hours of April 4 and April 5.

“We can’t urge you enough to please lock your vehicles,” police said. “In the event you become victim, do not touch anything in or on the vehicle and call the police. We will come out to inspect for any evidence and complete an incident report. It is vital that you to notify the police. The evidence from your incident might be just what is needed to help end this crime spree.”

Anyone with information regarding these thefts is asked to contact the Hilltown Township Police Department at 215-453-6000. Additionally, tips can be submitted electronically by clicking here.
