Lower Gwynedd Police are seeking public assistance in identifying and locating a male suspect who robbed a Key Bank branch on Bethlehem Pike early Tuesday afternoon.

According to the release, police responded to Key Bank—located along the 1000 block of Bethlehem Pike—on Sept. 17 at 12:05 p.m. for a report of a bank robbery in progress. The suspect was described as a white male wearing sunglasses and an orange shirt tied around his head and face, with purple rubber gloves that went up to his forearms, white pants, dark jacket and blue or black sneakers.

Bank employees told police that they observed the suspect approaching the bank with his face and hands already covered. The suspect then approached the first teller and demanded money, the report states. The suspect then fled out the front door with an undisclosed amount of money.

The release states that no weapon was seen, and though the suspect never displayed a weapon, they did threaten one bank employee.

The report states that a witness attempted to chase after the suspect and observed him getting into an early 2000’s red Ford F-150 with a chrome toolbox across the truck bed. The vehicle then fled southbound on Bethlehem Pike.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective Fowler at 215-646-5303 or via email at [email protected].
