The death of a missing Upper Perk teen has been ruled a suicide by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
The body of 16-year-old Maryann Dyer, of Pennsburg, was found near 11th Street in Upper Hanover Township on Wednesday afternoon. According to a report by the Pottstown Mercury, Dyer’s cause of death has been listed as suicide by hanging, following an autopsy by the coroner on Thursday.
The Upper Perk Police Department issued a release early Wednesday morning, stating that Dyer had last contact with her mother via cell phone at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
