Crews Responding to Vehicle Accident at Hancock and Church in Lansdale

UPDATE: Sept. 13, 12:22 p.m. - According to Jim Plunkett of Montco News Feed, two people have been transported from the scene via ambulance with unknown injuries.

UPDATE: Sept. 13, 12:11 p.m. - The incident involves two vehicles, including a car that sustained heavy front-end damage and a minivan that is on its side. According to our sources, the rescue is complete and all occupants have been freed from their vehicles. There is currently no word on injuries.
The intersection remains closed, and motorists are asked to avoid the area.

First responders are currently on the scene of a vehicle accident at the intersection of Church Road and Hancock Street in Lansdale Borough.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred at 11:50 a.m. Sources tell North Penn Now that a minivan involved in the incident is on its side. Dispatch notes state that two occupants of the minivan are trapped inside, but we have not been able to confirm at this time.

There is currently no word on injuries, though emergency medical personnel are on scene. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

Units from the Lansdale Borough Police Department, Fairmount Fire Company, North Penn Fire Company and Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale are currently on scene.
