Driver Suffers Minor Injuries After Crashing into Pole Sunday Night

The driver of a vehicle that struck a pole on East Hancock Street on Sunday night suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of East Hancock Street and Wade Avenue on Oct. 27 at 7:44 p.m. for a report of a one-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, responders found that a white four-door vehicle had crashed into a utility pole.

The driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash, according to police. Though the crash remains under investigation, Lansdale Borough Police Lieutenant Ryan Devlin said alcohol was not involved in the incident.

As a result of the crash, East Hancock Street was closed for a period on Sunday evening, as the vehicle had to be towed from the scene and crews from Lansdale Electric worked to fortify the utility pole.

In addition to Lansdale Electric, members of the Lansdale Borough Police Department, Fairmount Fire Company and Volunteer Medical Service Corps responded to the scene.
