UPDATE: Nov. 25, 11:09 a.m. - The Upper Gwynedd Township Police Department has shutdown Morris Road in both directions between North Wales Road and West Point Pike, per a release issued via Facebook.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred at 10:01 a.m. near the intersection with Bruner Circle. Sources tell North Penn Now that a vehicle struck a utility pole, causing the pole to break. The cause of the crash is currently unknown.
One victim was transported from the scene via ambulance by the Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale, according to Montco DPS. The striking vehicle is currently being towed from the scene, and traffic is being restricted to one lane in the area.
Units from the Upper Gwynedd Township Police Department, Worcester Volunteer Fire Department, Lansdale VMSC and PECO assisted at the scene. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
