Jesse Gimbel, Philadelphia-Based Multi-Instrumentalist, Makes Underground Debut This Weekend

If you were lucky enough to be at Round Guys Brewing Company during the Discover Lansdale First Friday Arts and Music Festival on Sept. 6, you would’ve gotten a sneak peek into the creativity of Jesse Gimbel.

Accompanied by his keyboardist, Bianca Cevoli, Jesse performed a wonderful acoustic session providing a glimpse into the organic and harmonious layers that lie behind his recordings. Over the past few years, Jesse has consistently made a name for himself—and his fellow musicians—through full-sounding tracks layered with soothing melodies and harmonies. In the past, Jesse has been featured on 88.5 FM WXPN and, most recently, Radio 104.5 FM, who featured his latest single “Minds on Fire.”

If you follow Jesse on social media during his bands larger tours, you’ll be treated to wonderful, stripped down live takes of select songs in different parts of the country. My personal favorite is watching a performance at a picnic table in Shelton, CT, where Andy Williams (percussion) uses the picnic table as the rhythm section. Jesse and his fine band are set to perform at The Underground on Nov. 22 with My Familiar and local favorite, Pulling Daisies. Ticket information available below. Be sure to check out excerpts from Jesse’s podcast session with Round Guys Radio.
