Intoxicated Road Rage Suspect Arrested After Brandishing Handgun in Warrington Township: Police

Marcus White, 28, of Philadelphia.

A Philadelphia man is facing more than a dozen charges stemming from a road rage incident in Warrington Township last Thursday afternoon.

According to the release from the Warrington Township Police Department, police were dispatched to the area of Route 611 and Shetland Drive at 5:41 p.m. on Nov. 14 for a report of a driver being very aggressive and pointing a handgun at other drivers on the road. Warrington Police radioed the description of the vehicle to surrounding townships, which led to the vehicle eventually being located and stopped in Doylestown Township.

The driver—identified as 28-year-old Marcus White—and his vehicle were positively identified at the scene of the traffic stop, and he was then taken into custody, the report states. Police also allegedly recovered a handgun from inside White’s vehicle, according to the report. White was then returned to the Warrington Township Police Department for further investigation and the filing of charges, the report states.

As a result of the incident, White has been charged with one felony count of firearms not to be carried without a license, along with misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, simple assault, disorderly conduct and multiple, varying counts of DUI.

White was arraigned on Nov. 15 by Magisterial District Judge Daniel Finello Jr., who set bail at 10-percent of $50,000 cash. He was then remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail, and his next court appearance is a preliminary hearing on Nov. 22 at 9 a.m. in front of Magisterial District Judge Jean Seaman.

Court records indicate that White posted bail on Nov. 19. He is being represented by Ellis B. Klein, ESQ, of Yardley-based Ellis B. Klein & Associates.
