Police Respond to Possible Shots Fired Incident in Lansdale Early Tuesday Morning

Lansdale Borough Police are investigating a possible shots fired call that originated along the 700 block of Willow Street earlier this morning.

According to Lansdale Borough Police Chief Michael Trail, police responded to a call of shots fired at 1:08 a.m. near the area of Willow Street Park. Two residents called 9-1-1 to report that they had heard an argument between two males, followed by four-to-five gunshots in the area near the creek.

Lansdale Police, along with assistance from Towamencin Township Police and a canine unit from the Montgomery Township Police Department, responded to the scene and utilized a vehicle-mounted FLIR unit to thoroughly search the area. In total, nine police officers and the canine unit searched the area on foot for approximately one hour, but found no evidence of a shooting, according to Trail.

Police then alerted area hospitals to be on the lookout for potential victims.
