A Blue Bell man who allegedly required two doses of Narcan after crashing his pickup truck into Lansdale’s 709 Market in July has been arrested again.
According to the criminal complaint, North Wales Borough Police were on patrol at 4:45 p.m. on Oct. 15 when they were dispatched to the North Wales Train Station for a report of an unconscious male in a pickup truck. Police attempted to wake the driver—identified as 33-year-old Jeffrey Tourdot—but he was unresponsive, the report states.
As police were about to break the window, Tourdot reportedly regained consciousness and got out of the vehicle, at which time police noticed a needle on the driver’s seat, the report states. He was then placed under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tourdot refused medical treatment at the scene, but allegedly admitted to using three baggies of heroin, police said. In searching Tourdot and his vehicle, police allegedly found 19 baggies of heroin, capped needles, cash and a number of opened baggies, the report states.
As a result of the incident, Tourdot has been charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI: Controlled Substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and other drug-related charges, in addition to summary counts of driving on a suspended license and careless driving.
At the time of the second incident, Tourdot was awaiting his preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Ed Levine on charges stemming from the July incident in Lansdale.
During the Nov 1 preliminary hearing on the first set of charges, Judge Levine set Tourdot’s bail at 10-percent of $5,000 cash. He was then remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail, and he remains there at this time, according to court records.
His preliminary hearing on the second set of charges is scheduled for Jan. 6, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. in front of Magisterial District Judge Suzan Leonard.
