Gwynedd Square Elementary School invites the community to join them in honoring local heroes and celebrating Veterans Day on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at a school assembly program at 10 a.m. in the gym.
“We hope to provide a wonderful celebration recognizing the service of our veterans,” said principal Jason Bashaw.
The program will feature the North Penn High School (NPHS) Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) as they present the colors and perform various displays to honor prisoners of war and those missing in action. Students from the Gwynedd Square chorus, directed by Jill Swavely, will underscore the event with patriotic songs and speeches.
Students and staff will be joined by members of local retirement communities and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Members of the Upper Gwynedd police department and fire station are invited as well to be honored as people who serve our community.
The community is welcome to attend this meaningful ceremony. All visitors must bring a valid driver’s license or state-issued identification card.
