John Waldenberger, 2018 Libertarian candidate for Pennsylvania’s 53rd House District, announces his intentions to stand as a write-in option for Montgomery County Commissioner.

“Our political climate today has become a total nightmare. One that George Washington, our first president, warned us about upon his departure from office,” said Waldenberger. “I for one am not happy with our choices for county commissioner, especially when two candidates from the same party cannot seem to get along and provide a united front. It is a sign that we need a new voice of reason to lead our county into the future. I feel that I can be that voice, if given the chance.”

The Montgomery County Commissioners office is comprised of a three-member board, which serves as the legislative and executive branch of our county government. Each commissioner is elected to a four-year, at-large term. John is seeking to fill the minority chair of the three-member Board of Commissioners.

As a Libertarian, John believes in the decentralization of the government, and that the power belongs in the hands of the people who elect their officials. This translates to John as “A commissioner who is working to serve the needs of the people of Montgomery County, not serving as a puppet, or blindly following the demands of state and federal leaders. A person, who will provide more open transparency into the affairs and needs of our county, to make us a better, more unified group”.

A vote for John Waldenberger for Montgomery County Commissioner will bring some of the following benefits to our county:

· A Commissioner who will be open and receptive to the needs and concerns of the people. Who will not stifle or silence opposition, but seek to find common ground.

· A Commissioner who is willing to work with and compromise in the best interest of the people they are serving.

· A Commissioner who will seek to restore the balance of power to the individuals of Montgomery County, and seek to ensure no more infringement on individual liberties.
