Two Township Line Road intersections, including the one at North Wales Road in Upper Gwynedd and Worcester Townships, will be closed and will have detours overnight next week, according to a PennDOT announcement.
The work will take place on Monday, Tuesday and possibly Wednesday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Township Line Road motorists will be advised to use Whitehall Road, Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike). North Wales Road users will be directed to Germantown Pike, Whitehall Road and Route 73.
The other intersection undergoing repairs is the Township Line Road and Arch Road/Arch Street Road in Whitpain, East Norriton and Plymouth Townships. The work will take place beginning next Wednesday and last through next Friday. Work will be done between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Township Line Road motorists should use U.S. 202, Route 73 and Walton Road. Arch Road/Arch Street Road users will be advised to take Germantown Pike, U.S. 202 and Jolly Road.
During construction at both locations, police and flaggers will direct local traffic and motorists should allow extra travel time due to backups and delays. The construction is weather dependent and is subject to change.
The repairs of the intersections are part of a $4.4 million project to improve the intersections by adding turn lanes, installing new signals and putting in ADA-compliant pedestrian facilities, pavement markings, signing and draining structures.
