Boston Style Pizza in North Wales is participating in numerous efforts to help raise money for autism research.
From now until May 4, those who mention the Dine To Donate fundraiser will have 20 percent of their order donated to Ben Hartranft’s Eagles Autism Challenge. This applies to eat-in, take-out and delivery orders. The pizza shop has also had items that people can donate any amount to receive.
On May 5, Boston Style Pizza will host “Benergy in the Park” at Parkside Place in Upper Gwynedd, to help raise even more money for Hartranft’s Eagles Autism Challenge. The event will take place between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., and will feature raffles, Eagles cheerleaders and the Eagles drum line.
The raffle drawing will take place at 4 p.m. during the event, and will feature items from local businesses and autographed Eagles gear. Tickets can be purchased at Boston Style Pizza this week, as well as at the event, and winners do not need to be present. There will also be a 50/50 raffle the day of the event.
In addition to these local fundraisers, Boston Style Pizza employees have decided to participate in the Eagles Autism Challenge Walk on May 18 in Philadelphia. Participants are required to raise at least $350 for autism research.
“The Boston Style Pizza family believes that through supporting autism research, we are fostering inclusion, which is an essential component of a happy and healthy community," said Boston Style manager Denise Evangelisto-Anderton.
Hatranft is a 2017 North Penn High School graduate and has been named the Ambassador for the Challenge. He is also a frequent customer at Boston Style Pizza.
